The People Speak returned to Imperial Science Festival in May 2017. This time with a slightly younger audience we talked about time travel, how you can change the world and what can be done about Donald Trump? Mikey and I co-hosted the discussion and we went to some strange and peculiar places, even by our standards!
Talkaoke was in the EU Corner at The Natural History Museum for Science Uncovered 2016.
We talked about things like driverless cars, economics, dinosaurs, politics and Star Trek.
Talkaoke, in conjunction with Chat Lab from Queen Mary, was at ExCel Centre in London for 4 days of New Scientist Live, a festival of ideas and discovery.
There’s also lots of photos from the event here…
The People Speak made an appearance at this years small and eclectic SuperNormal festival.
We talked about anything and everything. Please note there are some sensitive topics covered in some of these discussions such as the nature of consent and individual’s experiences involving the lack of it.
This year at the amazing Citadel Festival in London’s Victoria Park we ran a Talkaoke session outside an area called The Sunday Papers. At The Sunday Papers people could hear talks but various interesting speakers and engage them in Q&As. We scooped up the audience as they walked by and brought them to the flying saucer of chat. Watch these clips to find out what we talked about at a very exciting edition of Talkaoke!
We had some glorious weather at this years Imperial College Science Festival. I hosted some outdoor Talkaoke shows and as always the vibrant conversation went everywhere! We talked about what people had seen and done at the festival, about EU politics, religion, the pros and cons of various scientific fields and more.
“Why are we in London?” was a recurring question in this session of Talkaoke at The People Speak.
I hosted a section of this lively and enlightening talk show.
